Description
This event aims to bring together US governmental and non-governmental actors working in the field of freedom of expression and media development to discuss how they are contributing to the promotion of a safe environment for journalists worldwide, as well as how they are addressing impunity of crimes against press freedom, also in cooperation with the international community and within the UN Plan of Action on the Safety of Journalists and the Issue of Impunity.
The 90-minute discussion will take place on Tuesday, 14 May 2013 from 12 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. in the Rayburn Building of the House of Representatives in Washington D.C. It is organized by UNESCO with the support of the Better World Campaign.
